Tokyo-based designer Shinobu Koizumi describes himself as someone who “Proposes unique ‘experiences’ as spaces, furniture, and products.” His most recent creation is the Eternal Chair, made of stone and embedded with multiple glow-in-the-dark clocks with a single second hand each that tick away. As everything decays with time, the decorative clocks are there to remind us that nothing is eternal…not even a stone chair.
